I held a two-and-a-half-month-old baby today. A mother had to deal with a toddler and tossed me the baby. I can't remember my children ever being so small. (They did start out bigger than most, at 9 1/2 and 9 3/4 pounds.) This little guy just gazed at me, wide-eyed and amazed, randomly twitching. I couldn't remember that either. Then Monkey2 noticed I had a baby on my lap, and she crowded in, stroking his head, playing with his hands, taking off his socks and counting his toes... oh yes, THIS I remember.
