Snow Day III

1 P.M.

Monkey1 and I went out with the sled. Pulled her down a slope, pulled her up a slope, using the trail from this morning. Pulled her down the slope.

At the bottom I said, "Now I think I'm going to sled down the hill."

"But who's going to pull the sled?" Monkey1 asked with concern.

Oh inexperienced childhood of the South! "On good days, Mommy gets to slide too. No pulling," I said.

So we trudged up the slope, I sat in the sled, Monkey1 sat in front of me, and I pushed and paddled with my mittened hands. Slowly, and with much hand power, down we went. Shrieks of joy from Monkey1. It felt right. It just felt so right so sit on a sled in snow again.
