We read "Henry's 100 Days of Kindergarten" before quiet time today, and I thought the idea of putting something in a jar until there are 100 and then having a party was a great idea. I suggested to Monkey1 that we do this at home, when she starts preschool, but with something other than jelly beans. She agreed; "I hate jelly beans." But minutes later, she was crying that she doesn't need to go to school and learn from the teacher -- "Mommy is my teacher!"
Deep breath. "But Mommy doesn't know everything. You'll learn other things from the teacher."
That was too much. How can Mommy not know everything?
