Family four on bikes went down the Mount Vernon Trail. Around the sign indicating 3.5 miles to the estate, I refused to go any further. We found a grassy spot in the shade, ate our sandwiches, and headed back north. Another day we'll make it the whole way.
The Monkeys picked cattails when we crossed a marshy area.
